Give Yourself A Break. You Can’t Be On All The Time
Life is full of ups and downs, breaks and breakthroughs. The lines between battle and victory can become easily blurred when struggle lingers.
Today’s Tip: Give Yourself A Break. You Can’t Always Be On.
Life is full of ups and downs, breaks and breakthroughs. The lines between battle and victory can become easily blurred when struggle lingers.
Give yourself a break. You can’t always be on. Being on all the time is exhausting. It’s emotional and mentally draining. Trying to hold up a positive posture all the time can lead to more stress.
When’s the last time you were just, well, you?
Take plenty of time just to be you. No goals. No ambitions. No pursuit. What if what you’re chasing is chasing you? You keep moving around so much trying to find what you’re looking for it can never catch up?
You don’t force a flower to bloom. You allow it to happen naturally. Same goes for you. Trust the process. Everything is working together for your good. You are coming into your own.
Destiny is a supernatural, spiritual, process of greatness unfolding from with in you. Allow it to happen. Don’t force it to happen.
Give yourself a break. You can’t always be on.
Get Your Fight On
Don’t be afraid of the fight. Don’t be ashamed to admit you are struggling; that you are in a battle. It’s the battle that toughens you for even greater victories ahead.
Why you should never be ashamed to admit you are struggling

Admittance of a struggle isn’t admission of deficiency or surrender to the opposing force; it’s simply acknowledging that you are being opposed.
Acknowledging the opposition isn’t an admittance of defeat; it’s a declaration that you are fully aware the fight is on!
Victory is determined only by whoever is standing after the fight is over. And even if you’re not the one standing, it doesn’t mean you will never stand again.
Don’t be afraid of the fight. Don’t be ashamed to admit you are struggling; that you are in a battle. It’s the battle that toughens you for even greater victories ahead.
Someone who says they are not struggling with something is most likely burying their head in the sand. Avoiding your opposition doesn’t make it go away; defeating it does!!
Face your demons head on. Acknowledge your opposition for what it is; simply another battle that you WILL win in the end!
Whatever is opposing you hasn’t won unless you give up.
Suit up and show up.
It’s time to get your fight on!
What I Write When I Don’t Think I Have Anything To Say
The longer I sailed the seas of life, the more I realized I was not the only boat on the water. There were many other boats; both large and small. I ran into vessels of all kinds. Each boat had a different look, a different feel, a different flare, but they all seemed to have the same purpose; to save that which was lost. Then I began to wonder, are the people I’m trying to save really lost at all, or am I the one who is truly in need of saving?
I used to believe that I was a shipbuilder.
I believed it was my calling, my duty, my responsibility to humanity to build a big boat, and to encourage everyone I could to get on board.
The longer I sailed the seas of life, the more I realized I was not the only boat on the water. There were many other boats; both large and small.
I ran into vessels of all kinds. Each boat had a different look, a different feel, a different flare, but they all seemed to have the same purpose; to save that which was lost.

The Difficulty of Living In Between
From obscurity to notoriety, your time will come. Just continue to prepare for it. It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.
I don’t like being in-between. I’m not who I used to be, I’m not yet who I want to be; I’m in between.
I find it sad here; in between. I almost feel as if I am going to suffocate at times. But the next moment I snap out of it, and I realize I’m still here.
It’s sad because I wish I were doing what I love to do but find my self stuck doing what I have to do. When does what I have to do yield it’s grip on me releasing me into doing what I want to do? I don’t know the answer.
I used to think it was me; some deficiency that kept me here. Then I gave up on that notion because it made me more depressed.
How do you do something when you don’t know what to do? How to you fix a problem that you don’t know how to fix? I don’t think you do; you conclude. Not settle; conclude.
Conclude means I accept where I’m at, for now. Settle means I remain where I’m at, forever. To conclude means, based on all the evidence up to this point, this is where I am, and I will be ok with it, but I won’t settle for it. To settle means this is where I’m at and this is all there is for me.
Settlers don’t move and movers don’t settle.
SO, I guess I continue to both move and wait. I continue living each day with the expectation that this could be the day. I continue to practice my craft, get better at my dreams, and continue to perfect my skills and passion for the things I love to do, all the while doing what I have to do, until…
Until I get the call, the email, the text, or the letter alerting me that my presence is requested at the next level of life.
The next level, I believe, is by invitation only. You don’t invite or demand your way there; you remain present until the door opens and then walk through.
Someone WILL see you. You won’t remain in hiding forever.
From obscurity to notoriety, your time will come. Just continue to prepare for it. It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.
And on the days you do feel like you are you – the you you’ve always dreamed of being – take a moment to drink it all in. Bask in the moment. Don’t let the day go by without honoring it for allowing you to put on you; even if it were but just for a day.
And when that day goes away, be prepared for whatever the next day brings. Don’t judge it. Don’t be disappointed with it. Just be in it as it is, knowing that sooner or later today will look like you’ve always dreamed it would be.
Change Begins With “WE”
Until now this epidemic has continued to take the lives of innocent men, women, and children, but together “WE” can do something about it!
For as long as I can remember, my oldest daughter, Kami, has loved helping children, and dreamed of traveling the world. She experienced a couple of short-term missions trips to Haiti and Mexico during her senior year of high school and now she has an amazing opportunity to travel to Australia and Papua New Guinea with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).
Kami recently left for Sydney Australia, where she and five other girls spent a few days getting acclimated to life on the other side of the world before traveling on to Townsville Australia where they are attending three months of extensive hands-on training in preparation for Papua New Guinea.
While in Papua New Guinea, Kami and her team will help provide medical and humanitarian support, and a whole lotta TLC, to people in remote villages. The entire trip will last about 5–6 months.
We are SO PROUD of Kami. She has raised over $3,000 on her GoFundMe page, and EARNED over $2500 at summer jobs so far. She still needs about $4000 over the next few weeks to reach her goal.
DID YOU KNOW?
5 women die in childbirth every day in Papua New Guinea,
1 person dies from TB every 2 hours,
1 in 13 children die before age of 5
Until now this epidemic has continued to take the lives of innocent men, women, and children, but together “WE” can do something about it!
